The 1091 Series is a Floor-Anchored toilet partition system belonging to the SierraSeries® line of Solid Color Reinforced Composite (SCRC) partitions. This mounting style is distinguished by the absence of an overhead rail, creating a clean, modern aesthetic with a flush top line, ideal for washrooms with high ceilings or where a spacious appearance is desired.

Material and Durability

The 1091 Series is constructed from Solid Color Reinforced Composite (SCRC).

  • Composition: The stiles, panels, and doors are fused into a homogeneous piece where the surface, edge, and core are the same color.
  • GraffitiOff™ Surface: The material features a thermoset surface that allows for easy removal of graffiti without ghosting.
  • Resilience: The material is designed to resist breakage, delamination, and corrosion. It is covered by a 25-year limited warranty.
  • Fire Resistance: The units meet ICC and NFPA Class B or UBC Class II, ASTM E 84 Fire-Resistance Standards.

Mounting and Installation (Floor-Anchored)

The defining feature of the 1091 Series is its floor-anchored installation, which requires substantial structural support.

  • Anchoring System: The stiles are secured to the floor using a heavy-duty leveling device. This includes a 3/8″ (10mm) diameter threaded rod, expansion anchors, flat washers, and a chromate-treated, double zinc-plated steel angle leveling bar.
  • Concrete Requirement: Proper installation requires minimum 2″ (50mm) penetration into a structural concrete floor that is at least 3″ (75mm) thick.
  • Shoe: The leveling hardware is concealed by a one-piece, Type-304, satin-finish stainless steel shoe that is 4″ (102mm) high.

Dimensions

  • Stile Height: The floor-anchored stiles are 69″ (1753mm) high.
  • Door and Panel Height: Standard doors and panels are 58″ (1473mm) high.
  • Floor Clearance: The system is designed for a 12″ (305mm) floor clearance.
  • Thickness: Stiles and doors are 3/4″ (19mm) thick, while panels are 1/2″ (13mm) thick.

Hardware and Configurations

The standard hardware is constructed of 18-8, Type-304 heavy-gauge stainless steel with a satin finish.

  • Standard Configuration: The basic 1091 model comes with barrel hinges and standard mounting brackets.
  • Safety and Security: Hardware includes theft-resistant Pin-in-Head Torx screws. The latch system allows for emergency access from the exterior by lifting the door.

Available Options

The 1091 Series can be customized with specific hardware and privacy upgrades:

  • Gapless (G): The 1091G option features interlocking doors and stiles to eliminate sightlines, ensuring privacy.
  • Continuous Hardware (.67): Models such as the 1091.67 replace standard hinges and brackets with full-height stainless steel continuous hinges and continuous U-channels. This provides extra durability and support for the doors and panels.
