The shower curtain rod is made of 20-gauge stainless steel, which is 1 millimeter thick. Measuring 1 inch (25 millimeters) in diameter, the rod has a satin finish. The mounting flanges measure 1-3/8 inches (35 millimeters) in diameter and are positioned on either end of the shower curtain rod. The ultra glossy flanges are made from plastic that is electroplated for a chrome finish. Fabricated from aluminum, the mounting brackets are kept out of sight by the flanges.
