Description
Materials
The cabinet is constructed from heavy-gauge 18-8, Type-304 stainless steel with welded construction, while the flange is made of 22-gauge (0.8mm) 18-8, Type-304 stainless steel featuring a drawn and beveled, one-piece, seamless design. The door is fabricated from 20-gauge (0.9mm) 18-8, Type-304 stainless steel with drawn, one-piece, seamless construction and is secured to the cabinet with a full-length stainless steel piano-hinge. All exposed stainless steel surfaces have a satin-finish. The automatic roll towel dispenser mechanism utilizes durable, high-impact resin materials. The waste receptacle is constructed of 22-gauge (0.8mm) 18-8, Type-304 stainless steel with hemmed edges for safe handling. The cabinet, door, and waste receptacle are equipped with tumbler locks keyed like other washroom accessories.
Operation
The electronic sensor automatically dispenses a towel when hands are placed under the towel opening, with an intuitive LED light provided to direct patrons to the dispense area. The LED flashes green when the dispenser is ready, orange to indicate low battery, and red if the unit is not ready or requires service. The unit accommodates universal non-perforated rolls and includes an automatic transfer feature for stub rolls up to 3-1/2″ (90mm) in diameter, allowing the main roll to begin dispensing without opening the unit. Towel length can be set to three different sizes, and an optional “Paper Saver” feature allows a shorter second sheet (either 25% or 12.5% shorter) to dispense immediately after the first. To service the waste receptacle, unlock the unit with the provided key.
Installation
Provide a framed rough wall opening measuring 16″ (405mm) wide by 54-3/4″ (1390mm) high, with a minimum recessed depth of 4″ (102mm) to the finish face of the wall. Allow clearance for construction features that may protrude into the opening from the opposite wall and coordinate with mechanical engineers to avoid pipes, vents, and conduits. Mount the unit in the wall opening using shims between the framing and the cabinet at designated points, then secure the unit with #8 x 1-1/4″ (4.2 x 32mm) sheet-metal screws. If the unit projects above the top of the wainscot, provide a channel or other filler to eliminate the gap between the flange and the finish face of the wall. For units using the optional 6-volt AC to DC power supply, the electrical supply must be installed according to applicable building codes.
