The Bobrick B-527 is a countertop-mounted waste-disposal door that can also mount in aprons, skirts or the front of cabinets. The flange is 18-8, type-304, 22-gauge stainless steel with a 1⁄4″ 90-degree return, and the door is type-304, 22-gauge stainless steel with all-welded construction and a satin finish. Waste is pushed down through the hinged opening, and the self-closing door on its spring-loaded, full-length stainless steel piano-hinge shuts tightly; a graphic symbol identifies the unit. It installs in an 11-1⁄4″ W x 4-1⁄2″ H cutout, with tabs that fit 3⁄4″ to 1-1⁄2″ tops. It needs at least 4-1⁄2″ of clearance below the mounting surface, and the receptacle and housing are not included.
