The Bobrick B-9883 is a ligature resistant recessed shelf made of 16-gauge, type 304 stainless steel with exposed surfaces powder coated white. The shelf opening is 16″ wide and 5″ high, and the unit recesses 4″ into the wall. It needs a rough wall opening of approximately 16-1⁄2″ x 5-1⁄2″ and 4-1⁄4″ deep. Eight 1⁄4″-20 UNC tamper-resistant hex screws and a 5⁄32″ hex bit are furnished, and wall anchors are by the installer. The shelf itself serves as the template for locating mounting points.
