The Bobrick B-983 is a vandal-resistant surface-mounted clothes hook secured from the front. It is 14-gauge type 304 stainless steel with exposed surfaces polished to a satin finish, and the faceplate has sloped edges. The auto-release hook is tested to hold a minimum of 20 lbs. and release at 40 lbs. or greater. Four 1⁄4-20 tamper-resistant flat-head machine screws and a security hex key are furnished, and expansion shields are not. The TDS recommends a mounting height of 38″ to 40″ for accessible design.
